Honoring a Legacy of “Veterans Helping Veterans”

Service and Advocacy

My name is Carmen Petrelli, and I am the Treasurer of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #1068 here in Southern New Jersey. Vietnam Veterans is committed to supporting veterans through various services and outreach programs, as well as advocacy for important issues. To help us continue these commitments, Chapter #1068 of the Vietnam Veterans of America is sponsoring the Seventh Annual Andrew F. “Doc” Jensen’s Memorial Golf Tournament.

To honor and remember “Doc” Jensen for his 25 plus years as our counselor and mentor in leading all Veterans on the right path, we feel an obligation to continue his journey in stride, “Veterans Helping Veterans!”

Empowering Future Leaders

The funds generated from this event are primarily used for our scholarship program, which awards grants to eligible high school seniors for their continued excellence and future endeavors. To date, we have awarded 29 Scholarships, totaling $54,500.

We are able to do this only through the kindness and generosity of others. This year, our Seventh Annual Golf Outing will be held at the Pennsauken Country Club on September 9, 2024.
